Kim Von Dresky-Walsh has been involved in the gymnastics industry for over 35 years. She was a gymnast and started coaching at 18 at Richardson Rec Center. She moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas where she competed on the gymnastics team. She coached for Crenshaw Athletic Club and then Capital Gymnastics. In 1994, Kim opened her own facility, Texas Tumblers Gymnastics. Kim is passionate about gymnastics and has coached everything from Mom and Tot to Level 10. She has coached two collegiate gymnasts, both received a full-ride scholarship, one at TWU and the other at SUU. Both qualified for level 10 Nationals in 2009. Her gymnast, Caitlin Kennedy, was awarded USAG Gymnasts of the year in 2009 and Sr B Level 10 State Champion. She also has a skill named after her in the FIG book, “The Kennedy”.
Kim has two children, Ty and Tatum, both Texas A&M graduates (whoop!). Tatum is actually the Program Director here at Texas Academy of Gymnastics!
